How to reduce the noise in oxygen generator room

In China, the noise level in workplaces and public places has to be controlled accordingly. Continuous and irregular compound sound will interfere with our normal work, life and even health.

However, as an industrial mechanical equipment, the noise from the oxygen production system is a problem that goes hand in hand; there are many ways to solve these "by-products" from high-speed air compressors and gas discharge outlets. Here are three main directions.

The first one is the site-selection of the machine room. The oxygen generator shall not be placed in the basement, but in zone far away from the residential area or office area. It can also be placed on the roof, however, the bearing problem should be considered.

Then, we can take sound absorption measures, and use glass wool, foam plastic and microporous acoustic brick to decorate the indoor walls or hang them in the room, or make sound absorbing screens. These sound-absorbing materials reduce the transmission of noise and achieve sound insulation effect. Alternatively, the equipment can be silenced. A muffler or silencing pit can be set at the gas discharging port, and a muffler is also installed at the suction and exhaust ports of the screw compressor.

Finally, the sound insulation devices could be installed for the equipment, and close the sound source with certain materials, structure and devices, such as sound insulation wall, sound insulation room, sound insulation cover, sound insulation door and window, so as to block the transmission of noise and achieve the purpose of sound insulation and noise reduction for the equipment. For example, put the whole compressor into a sound insulation cover, or put the air compressor in the sound insulation control room alone, observe the operation through the glass, and execute inspection in the machine room regularly.

Note: the oxygen generator in the oxygen machine room must be placed flat. If the bottom is not flat, the noise of machine running will increase.
